I performed a side-by-side comparison on converting the same movie on my Win10 Pro pc, with the same handbrake version and settings (just had it convert it via pure cpu instead of gpu) and the conversion speeds are about the same. Ran a few commands and while i don't remember the output off the top of my head, it was using the generic linux gpu module instead of the intel quicksync. It's not using the onboard graphics for encoding. however it's really slow to convert movies. I have the latest handbrake 1.5.1 (stable, as i don't use beta anything) installed. It's a stock, straight-up install and utilizes the onboard graphics of the i9-9900k. the hardware consists of an i9-9900k on an asus Q370-based csm motherboard (very simple, not a gaming board with all the junk). I've installed the latest stable version of mint. OBS works well for checking that in my experience.Hey Folks! i'm hoping someone can help me with an issue i'm having. i am not too familiar with the windows 10 dialog you have there but if you can open up the legacy one you can select "try to connect anyway" which will let you make the virtual screen your after and might enable QuickSync decoding if its presently not available. the only indication i have that its not using quicksync is that it says in steam that its using my 2 threads to decode instead of quicksync.Ĭoming back to this, i think you are actually to where you should be on the display set up and just need to force it to detect. now when i click detect it says another display is not detected, am i doing something wrong here? iGPU multi-monitor or something like that is enabled already in the bios and i have installed the latest drivers.

Yes, i have installed the hd graphics drivers on the intel website, even used their driver finding utility but it doesnt seem like its working. That doesnt seem to be my case, its already enabled :CĪnd you have the proper iGPU drivers installed? what are you using to check that quicksync is working? Set the iGPU to On or of some like to that instead of Auto or Off which is likely is right now. You will need to override this in BIOS if you are to get this working. By default most motherboards disable the Intel iGPU when an add on GPU is detected.
